Why we started FixFiniti

Every Indian household has a story like this.

A leaking tap on a Tuesday morning. A frantic search on WhatsApp for "anyone reliable." Three different numbers, three different prices, two no-shows. A plumber finally arrives at 6 PM, says it'll be ₹400, finishes the job, then asks for ₹1,200. You pay it because what else are you going to do — your kitchen is half-disassembled.

You don't talk about it. You move on. But you remember it.

We started FixFiniti because we got tired of remembering.

The problem isn't a shortage of skilled people

There is no shortage of plumbers, electricians, AC technicians, carpenters or cleaners in Mumbai. In our research walks, we found thousands of skilled professionals working informally — most of them excellent at their craft, most of them earning a fraction of what their skill deserves.

What's broken isn't the supply. It's the operating layer sitting between supply and demand.

That layer — discovery, verification, pricing, scheduling, accountability, payment, follow-up — barely exists in Indian home services. Each side of the market has to reinvent it for every transaction, every time.

That's the gap FixFiniti is built to fill.

Three things we refuse to compromise on

We made a list, very early, of the things we wouldn't ship around.

1. Verified technicians, with no exceptions. Every partner on FixFiniti is identity-verified, address-verified, and skill-verified before they take a single job. No background checks, no platform.

2. The quote is the bill. Whatever amount we share before work begins is the final amount you pay. Add-ons require your written approval in the app. No exceptions for "the part cost more than expected" — that's our problem to absorb, not yours.

3. We pay technicians like teammates. Our partners aren't gig workers we squeeze for margin. They earn more on FixFiniti than they would on traditional aggregators, and they get health insurance, training, and a clear progression path. Long-term, this is how you keep the best people. Short-term, it's just the right thing to do.

Why Thane first

We're headquartered in Thane, and that's not a coincidence. Thane is one of the densest, fastest-growing residential corridors in the country — and it's underserved by every existing platform.

By going deep in Thane before we go wide, we get to do something most home-services startups skip: actually solve operational problems at the city level before scaling them across cities. Density beats reach in this category. Every time.

We'll be in every neighbourhood of Mumbai through 2026, and other cities will follow. But if you're in Thane West, Ghodbunder Road, Hiranandani Estate or Naupada — you're first in line. That's the deal.

What "AI-powered" actually means to us

We say "AI-powered" on the homepage, and we mean something specific by it.

We don't use AI to look smart. We use it where it removes friction.

When you describe a problem — "the geyser stops heating after 10 minutes" — our dispatch model picks the right technician for the job based on the symptom, not just on who's nearest. When that technician shows up, they have parts pre-loaded based on the symptom profile. When the job is done, our quality model flags anything that looks off so we catch issues before you do.

You'll never see the model. You'll just notice that things work.

Where we are right now

We're in pre-launch. The waitlist is open. The first cohort of technician partners is being verified. City-by-city launch begins in 2026, starting in Thane.

If this is the home-services experience you've been waiting for — join the waitlist. If you're a skilled technician who shares our standards — apply to be a partner. If you want to read the operational details — browse the services.

Either way, thanks for stopping by. There's a lot more to come.
